With the widespread application of high-precision linear guides in industrial automation, it is necessary to master certain installation skills. Mastering the correct installation method of linear guides can improve the service life and accuracy of the guides.
To ensure the parallelism between the driven side slide rail and the reference side slide rail, there is no lateral positioning assembly surface.
First, use the installation benchmark for installation.
First, use assembly screws to fix the bottom reference surface of the linear guide rail to the bottom assembly surface of the bed platform. Then, use a vise to press the side reference surface of the guide rail onto the side assembly surface of the bed platform, ensuring the position of the guide rail. Use a wrench to tighten the guide rail and its fixing surface to the bed platform according to a certain torque.
II. Installation of the linear guide rail on the driven side
1. Straight gauge method
Place the linear gauge block between two linear guide rails, calibrate it with a micrometer so that it is parallel to the side reference plane of the reference side slide rail, and then calibrate the driven side slide rail based on the linear gauge block. Start calibrating from one end of the moving guide rail, and tighten the assembly screws in sequence according to a certain torque.
2. Mobile platform approach
Fix two sliders on the reference side of the measurement platform, but only install one slider on the driven side. The guide rail and slider are not fixed to the base and platform. Measure the side reference plane of the slider on the driven side with a micrometer, which is fixed on the top surface of the slider on the driven side. Check one end of the driven linear guide rail and tighten the assembly screws in sequence according to a certain torque.
3. Follow the reference side-slip rail method.
The two sliders of the reference side linear guide rail and one slider of the driven side are respectively fixed on the platform, and then the driven side guide rail, the bed, and another guide rail on the platform are fixed separately. According to the reference side slide rail, the platform is moved. Starting from one end of the slide rail, while confirming the rolling resistance of the moving side linear guide rail, the assembly screws are sequentially tightened according to a certain torque.
4. Special tool method
Use professional tools to determine the position of the driven side slide rail, and tighten the assembly screws according to a specific torque sequence.
